What are Some of the Benefits of TAREI Membership? (Back to top)

  • Legislative Representation: TAREI has retained a lobbyist to represent the interests of real estate inspectors before the Legislature and other regulatory agencies.

  • Continuing Education: TAREI seminars are held on specific, timely subjects that are a valuable learning experience to inspectors and are available at a reduced rate to members. Another important benefit gained from attending seminars is the opportunity to rub elbows with and share the experiences of those who have already walked in your shoes! The camaraderie of a personal one-on-one discussion with your peers is worth more than the cost of membership if you only get one idea about improving your business.

  • Insurance: TAREI endorses a general liability and errors and omissions insurance program at a reduced rate for members.

  • Public Relations: TAREI maintains an ongoing public relations program to inform consumers on what TAREI is. The public relations program seeks to have consumers look to a TAREI member first when needing a real estate inspector.

  • Publications: TAREI publishes a quarterly newsletter, TAREI Times, that features in-depth articles on trends in the industry and business practices. A quarterly news letter, TAREI Target contains timely information on industry events, educational seminars and membership information.

  • Resource Guide: TAREI has developed a resource list of technical publications and consumer information that is available complimentary or at a nominal charge. The publications can be used to assist you in your business or to distribute to your clients.\
