Inspecting to a Higher Standard

The idea of creating the "Professional Home Inspector" surfaced in the 1960s. Over the next two decades, a group of dedicated inspectors initiated an effort to improve their profession and better protect home buyers by establishing uniform industry standards and practices. This was the beginning of the Texas Association of Real Estate Inspectors (TAREI).

The North Texas Chapter of The Texas Association of Real Estate Inspectors (NTTAREI) has extensive knowledge of North Texas homes and building practices. NTTAREI members have a critical and important role in reducing the risk of buying and selling homes. They inspect systems, assess structural components, and deliver complete, thorough and competent reports that inform and assure buyers and sellers of the condition of property.

Our members attend regular training and Monthly Meetings where homes and building practices are the key topic. Often members will gather afterwards to exchange ideas and answer each others questions. Todays houses are a complex structure that require skilled eyes and knowledgable inspectors to provide clear and concise home inspection report.
Home ownership remains an important part of the American Dream, offering comfort, security and a sense of personal achievement. A NTTAREI Home Inspector will help fulfill that dream.

Home sellers and real estate agents can reduce doubt and confusion by following some simple tips to "Clean Up" the Inspection Report.  This will also reduce repeat trips and cost.
